Position Overview

The Director of Programs, Events & Communications leads the planning, execution, and promotion of Chamber programs and events while supporting member engagement and communications. This is a highly visible, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in event management, organization, and community interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Programs & Events

• Plan and execute monthly luncheons, networking events, and special programs
• Coordinate event logistics: venues, agendas, décor, sponsors, and presentations
• Manage signature events including awards luncheons, golf tournament, and annual gala (“Fiesta”)
• Oversee event communications, invitations, and promotional materials
• Coordinate volunteers and collaborate with committees

Leadership & Networking Programs

• Manage Leadership Flower Mound program, including scheduling, communications, and special events
• Coordinate networking groups and industry committee meetings
• Support Board of Directors meetings, events, and communications

Communications & Marketing

• Create and manage weekly e-newsletter (Constant Contact)
• Oversee social media and digital communications
• Design marketing materials using Canva and similar programs
• Maintain consistent messaging across all platforms

Operations & Member Engagement

• Assist with office operations and member services
• Support database updates, calendar management, and internal communications
• Serve as a welcoming point of contact for members and community partners

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning, project management, or related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
• Experience with email marketing platforms, specifically Constant Contact 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Professional, outgoing, and community-focused
• Familiarity with Denton County area preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 (based on experience)
