About the Role

The Sealy Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated and visionary President & CEO to lead the organization in its mission to support local businesses, foster economic growth, and create a vibrant community. This full-time, in-person position reports directly to the Board of Directors and serves as the Chamber’s chief spokesperson, relationship builder, and strategic planner.

As the face of the Chamber, the President & CEO will oversee day-to-day operations, manage event planning and member engagement, advocate for local business interests, and grow the organization’s reach and impact. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategic Growth

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to set and execute strategic goals

  • Grow Chamber membership and increase visibility in the community

  • Represent the Chamber at city, county, and regional events and meetings

Event Planning & Project Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a year-round calendar of community business driven events

  • Manage logistics, permits, vendors, volunteers, and budgets for all events

  • Track sponsorships and fundraising goals

Business & Member Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Chamber members and local sponsors

  • Foster member engagement through personal outreach, programs, and recognition

  • Serve as a resource and advocate for the Sealy business community

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events and initiatives

  • Represent the Chamber in media and public speaking opportunities

  • Oversee creation of promotional content including photos and videos

Operations & Administration

  • Lead and support the Chamber’s office team, fostering a positive, productive, and mission-driven work environment

  • Oversee daily office operations, manage Chamber records and files

  • Handle budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting to the board

  • Coordinate volunteer teams and interns as needed


Qualifications

  • Strong experience in project or event management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking

  • Proven success in relationship building, sponsorships, or sales

  • Marketing or social media strategy knowledge preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Canva, photography/video editing a plus

  • Nonprofit, Chamber, or business association experience is a bonus
